Overview

The service, without the fluff.

What it is

Secure holding of your site keys, 24/7 alarm response, out-of-hours callouts, lock-up and unlock services, mobile patrols and loss prevention support for commercial premises, retail, licensed and construction sites.

Who it's for

Retail managers, licensed premises operators, construction site managers, commercial property landlords, facilities managers, small business owners and multi-site groups across Bristol, Bath, the South West, South Wales and the wider UK.

When you need it

Continuous 24/7 cover, out-of-hours only, void and handover periods, holiday cover for owner-operators, and short-notice replacements when an alarm receiving centre keyholder falls through.

Why professional matters

You should not be the person driving across town at 3am to reset an alarm you can't hear. Handing that to an insured, SIA-licensed and locally-based provider protects your staff, your insurance position and, frankly, your sleep.

What happens if you leave it

The cost of the wrong provider, or none at all.

Risk

Personal safety at 3am

Nominated employees driving to a site alone in the middle of the night to investigate an activation is a lone-working failure. If something goes wrong at that site, the liability lands squarely on the employer.

Risk

Insurance invalidation

Many commercial policies specifically require a professional key holding and alarm response provider. DIY key holding by a member of staff can invalidate a claim after a break-in.

Risk

Slow response, bigger loss

The longer between activation and attendance, the more damage. Local, GPS-tracked mobile patrol response measured in tens of minutes matters, 'we'll get someone there tomorrow' is not a service.

Risk

Losses in void & handover periods

Empty units, closed sites and post-tenancy voids are prime targets. Scheduled mobile patrols close that window at a fraction of the cost of static cover.

Risk

Retail shrink & stock loss

Retail losses aren't only external, internal shrink, poor closedown procedures and lax lock-up all add up. Loss prevention support tightens those routines and gives you the log to prove it.

Risk

Missed lock-ups and open doors

The most common overnight risk isn't a break-in, it's a door left unlocked or an alarm not set. Scheduled lock-up / unlock services remove that risk entirely.

Our process

A clear system, from first call to sign-off.

  1. Step 01

    Site & risk review

We take your address(es), alarm system, access requirements and existing keyholder arrangement, and walk the site where useful.

  2. Step 02

    Written cover plan

Costed proposal: key storage, response SLA, patrol pattern (if any), lock-up / unlock schedule and reporting.

  3. Step 03

    Secure key induction

Keys and access devices are labelled with anonymised references, held in our secure store, and linked to your site record, never held by the same person who might attend.

  4. Step 04

    Live cover

24/7 dispatch from our Bristol HQ. Alarm activations are attended within the agreed SLA by a uniformed, SIA-licensed officer who investigates, resets where safe and secures the site.

  5. Step 05

    Report & review

Every activation and patrol produces a written report. Regular review of activation patterns to reduce false alarms and tighten cover.

Benefits

What you actually get out of it.

Staff never called out at 3am

Your team stays in bed; a trained, insured officer attends instead. Retention improves, lone-working exposure goes to zero.

Insurance-compliant cover

A documented, professional keyholding contract satisfies insurer requirements and protects your claim position.

Fast, tracked response

GPS-tracked mobile units respond within an agreed SLA, with the log to prove it.

Fewer false alarms over time

Pattern reporting helps you spot and fix the causes of repeat activations, instead of paying a fine each time.

Loss prevention discipline

Scheduled lock-up / unlock and patrol visits enforce good closedown routines, the real driver of shrink reduction.

One number, day or night

One number, answered 24/7 in Bristol, not a call centre reading a script.

The detail

Methods, variations and how we deploy.

A single page can't replace a walk-around and a written proposal, but this is what the work looks like in practice, so you know what you're comparing.

Secure key storage & handling

Keys and access devices are held in our secure storage under an anonymised reference. The address is not written on the key, and the person holding the key is not the person who attends, a basic but consistently missed control. Every movement of a key is logged, and you're notified whenever a set is issued to an officer for attendance.

24/7 alarm response

When your alarm receiving centre calls, we dispatch a uniformed SIA-licensed officer to your site within the agreed SLA. The officer investigates the activation, checks the perimeter and interior where safe to do so, resets the system where appropriate, and re-secures the property. Every activation produces a written attendance report the following working day.

Mobile patrols & scheduled visits

For void units, construction sites, retail parks and out-of-hours commercial premises we offer scheduled mobile patrols, randomised or fixed, one or multiple per night, with a written visit record. GPS tracking on our patrol vehicles gives you evidence of attendance, not just an invoice line.

Lock-up, unlock & handover services

For retail and hospitality sites we offer contracted lock-up and unlock at fixed times, the closedown routine done by a professional, every day, without fail. That single control removes the most common overnight risk (a door left open, an alarm not set) and produces a daily log you can audit.

Loss prevention support for retail & licensed premises

For retail groups and licensed operators we support closedown and cash-handling routines, provide a uniformed presence during vulnerable periods (bank runs, stock deliveries, void nights), and where required deploy plain-clothes loss prevention officers on agreed shifts. We work with your GM or DPS, not around them.

Insurance, paperwork & audit

Every officer is SIA-licensed and vetted. Public and employers' liability cover is held. Attendance and patrol records are kept for the period your insurer requires. Certificates and sample reports are available for your compliance file before you sign anything.

FAQs

Answers to the questions we hear most.

How quickly will you attend an activation?

+

Response SLAs are agreed with you in advance based on the site and the risk profile. Typical urban response in Bristol and surrounding areas is within tens of minutes, not hours.

Where are our keys held?

+

Keys are held in our secure storage under an anonymised reference, never labelled with the site address, and never held by the individual officer who attends.

Do you cover retail lock-up and unlock?

+

Yes. Contracted lock-up and unlock at fixed times is a routine part of our retail and hospitality cover.

Can we use you for holiday cover only?

+

Yes. Many owner-operators use us purely for holiday and out-of-hours cover, a short-term contract with the same standards as our full 24/7 clients.

Do you cover construction sites and void commercial units?

+

Yes. Scheduled mobile patrols on construction sites and void units are a core part of our loss prevention offer.

Are you SIA-licensed and insured?

+

Yes. Every officer holds a current SIA licence. Public liability and employers' liability cover is held and certificates are available on request.

Do you provide written reports?

+

Yes. Every activation attendance and every patrol produces a written report, used both for your compliance file and to help reduce repeat activations over time.

Do you cover outside Bristol?

+

Yes. Bristol is our HQ, and we cover Bath, Cardiff, the South West, South Wales and further afield across the UK.
